Roderick "RJ" Stevenson, a young trailblazing entrepreneur in music, media and ministry, is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Black Excellence Network, LLC. He brings to the Black Excellence Network a broad range of experience in executive leadership having served in key roles in the higher education, faith-based, and media production industries!
In addition to his role in the Black Excellence Network, he is also the CEO/Lead Kreative Director of KreativeKoncepts Production and Design, a full-service media and marketing company based in Eastern North Carolina with offices in Tampa, FL and Little Rock, AR. Since 2002, the company developed and established the national branding images of businesses, institutions, non-profit organizations and high-profile personalities.
In 2020, Stevenson co-founded R.O.C. the Block Festivals, LLC, a community-development partnership purposed with "Reconditioning Our Communities". For three years (2021-2023), Stevenson co-produced the "Tampa Bay Area Juneteenth Festival and Cultural Celebration" at Raymond James Stadium, home of the the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! With crowds of up to 3500, over 150 community and retail vendors, over 25 food vendors, and local and national recording artists, the event has become one of the largest Juneteenth Festivals in the nation and the only annual event at the stadium produced by a black organization.
RJ's roots in business stem back to the legacy of his parents, the late Bishop L. L. Stevenson and Mrs. Cassandra Stevenson. 43 years ago, the Stevenson's opened The Christian Supply Store, a brick and mortar store in the heart of Goldsboro, NC supplying a complete line of books, bibles and supplies to churches, ministers and believers all around the world! The store has survived Walmart, Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, and now the COVID-19 pandemic to emerge as one of the few christian bookstores in the country!
